Special Work for NEW Museum of Human Evolution in Targoviste, Romania
We are planning a close collaboration with the newly opened, brand new Museum of Human Evolution (the only museum of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe) in the historical city of Targoviste, Romania. Targoviste used to be the capital city of Romania back hundreds of years ago with unique historical sites dating back to the time of Vlad the Impaler.
The new Museum of Human Evolution, inaugurated in december 2013 is the lifetime work of archeologist Dr. Marin Carciumaru, one of the most respected Romanian authorities on the Paleolithic of Romania, with a focus on Neanderthal symbolic behavior. We are proud to collaborate closely with Dr. Carciumaru for the main gallery room in the Museum dedicated to evidence in Romania of the Neanderthal cult of the cave bear. Our collaboration includes screening "Man and Bear: A Dying Connection" at the Museum as well as designing the "Bear Cult Room" with artifacts and original illustrations depicting the findings from Romanian caves as well as other European caves.
We will have more information coming in the next months.
