In January 2009, Founders Dan and Oana Ghiocel brought together a handful of talented researchers and producers who shared their interest in creating quality entertainment that would engage the audience, generate awareness of topical and interesting issues and inspire individuals to take action. Hyperion Media was born to open new paths of discovery, and lead to a deeper understanding of the world and each other.
Hyperion is a media production company developing its own unique projects from pre-production to post- production for commercial and private clients for the film, web and publishing industries.
DAN M. GHIOCEL, President and Adjunct Professor with Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, is a recognized international research scientist on advanced science and high technology applications, with a basic doctoral work in the area of dynamic instability of highly complex, dynamic, evolutionary systems under uncertain conditions. His work and background relates directly with the Hyperion Media, Inc. mission of providing a deeper physical and mental understanding of the origins of our human species, limitations and integration in the universe.
OANA R. GHIOCEL received an M.A. in Documentary and Audio Production from Emerson College in Boston and she holds previous degrees in screenwriting and filmmaking from universities in the US, France and Czech Republic. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Oana has a diverse bilingual background and she is an award-winning media producer, consultant and screenwriter and currently the Vice- President of Hyperion Media. She has appeared on television and has a strong interest in human history and evolution, cave exploration and preservation, and environmental protection.
